Caramel Pretzel Peanut Butter Snack Bites
Makes about 20 balls
- 1/2 cup of Kraft Crunchy Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup of honey
- 1 cup of large flaked rolled oats
- 15 caramels
- 1 tablespoon of milk (almond or soy milk works fine too)
- 3/4 cup of pretzel pieces (broken up pretzel sticks)
Break pretzel sticks into small pieces (4 or 5 pieces per stick).
Unwrap the caramels and place in a small microwave safe bowl.
Add the milk, place in the microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir well. If the caramels are not completely melted put the bowl back in the microwave and heat in 15 second intervals until smooth and creamy.
Stir in the pretzel pieces.
Working quickly (before the caramel hardens too much) spread the pretzel mixture onto a silicon baking sheet or a piece of wax paper.
Let this set while you do the next step.
Place the peanut butter, honey and oats in a medium sized bowl. Mix together until well combined. Break your pretzel caramel mixture into small pieces and add to the peanut butter mixture. Stir well.
Roll into 20 (1-inch) balls, using about 2 Tbsp. for each. Chill for 20-30 minutes.
Suggested serving size is 2 to 3 of the bites represented in the above photo.
Serve and enjoy!
