One Less Thing #JustOneClick - Outside The Box

One Less Thing #JustOneClick

One Less Thing #JustOneClick

Get up, make the beds. Make breakfast, do the dishes, get everyone ready and out the door. Make lunch, do the dishes, sweep the floors, do some laundry. Make dinner, do the dishes, tidy the house, get everyone ready for bed. Get up, repeat. A parent’s work is never done. Just when you think you’ve got everything on your list complete you turn around and find another mess to clean up or another chore that needs to be taken care of. Some days I think a maid would be nice but then I realize I would probably feel the need to clean the house before I let her in the door.

There are things to do around the house that I actually enjoy – like cooking. There are chores I don’t love but don’t mind like vacuuming. And then there are those jobs I wish I could pawn off on someone else  – jobs like cleaning the fridge (what IS in that plastic container wedged between the ketchup and the parmesan anyways?) and cleaning the bathrooms. Oh the bathrooms. Hair everywhere, soap scum that somehow seems baked on to the side of the tub and then there are the toilets. Why oh why are they so hard to clean? Well, to be honest I know why. First you have the fact that they often go unflushed for a period of time, with “stuff” sitting in them. Most of the time it’s because one of us has used the loo and realized someone is in the other bathroom having a bath or washing their hair. So out of consideration and to avoid the inevitable scalding, you don’t flush. And then there is the hard water. And our water is pretty hard. It’s almost impossible to avoid the rust and mineral stains that it leaves in the toilets. Well, it was almost impossible.

What if you had a product that actually cleaned the toilet every single time you flushed it? That is exactly what Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Bowl Cleaner does.

Now I admit I’ve tried other “continuous” cleaning products for the toilet in the past. And even if they worked to some degree, the installation of these products was such a pain that they got used once and then shoved under the sink never to be seen again. You know what I’m talking about right? The little cages you have to balance inside the tank or the elaborate devices that you have to read the directions every single time you use them and they come with some sort of reusable applicator that you have to hang on the side of your toilet (so attractive, and they always end up on the floor). But, I’m happy to report, the Lysol® Click Gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner is actually really simple to use.

See how small they are? That’s the whole thing right there, including the applicator.

Getting the Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner ready to install really is as simple as removing that little plastic cover.

Next you simply push the plastic applicator against the inside of the toilet bowl until it clicks.

That’s it! Now you can either toss the little applicator in the trash or, and I love this, into the recycling bin! No complicated directions, no mess, and no big unsightly applicator to store for next time. Just one click and you can walk away and forget about it.

The Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners comes in three great scents – Citrus, Lavender and Spring Waterfall. I am currently using Lavender. I am actually pretty sensitive to products that are heavily scented but I have no issue at all with these gels. When you walk into the bathroom the smell is not over powering. It’s really just a very light, clean fragrance.

So, the Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners are easy to use, they smell great without being over powering, but the most important question remains – do they work? The simple answer is yes. The box contains a pack of four unties (each lasting one week). I’ve had one in place for just shy of a week now and the difference is very noticeable. Generally by now I would need to get out the Lysol® Liquid Toilet Bowl Cleaner for a good scrubbing but now I am able to hold off for a while longer until I use them together for extra cleaning power.. The Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners aren’t going to completely take the place of a solid cleaning from time to time. Nothing will. But they definitely extend the time needed between cleanings and they make cleaning easier, quicker and more hygenic.

So, if you are looking for something that makes at least one chore in your home a little easier the Lysol® Click gel™ Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaners  can help with that.

Head over to the Lysol® website to learn more and to take advantage of coupon offers! Now if someone could just invent a robot that will investigate and deal with that questionable container in the back of my fridge I’d be one happy mom!

  1. The inside of your toilet is way cleaner than mine. I can't believe that I ever showed a picture of mine but I did. Oddly enough, it was in praise of another of Lysol's toilet bowl products. Love the results they get. Must give this one a try.
