Where to see Santa in Regina #YQR 2016

It’s that time of year. That’s right, time to drag little Becky down to the mall, set her on a strangers lap and scar her for like. Good times! Ok I kid. They get over it I promise. The memories are magical and the photos are priceless.

Wondering where and when you can see Santa in Regina? Let me help. Not every location has their hours up yet so I will update this post as I get more information:

 Santa’s Parade – November 20th

Starts at 1 pm at Albert Street and 25th Avenue travelling south ending at Southland Mall

Join us after the parade for hot chocolate courtesy of Van Houttee Coffee Service and cookies courtesy of Southland Mall

Santa will make his first appearance for photos from 2:30pm – 4:30pm (charges apply)

Regina Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting – November 22

Join us for our 1st Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on F.W. Hill Mall! Our boutiques will be open from 5pm – 9pm and the activities on F.W. Hill Mall start at 6pm, with Santa, hot chocolate, cookies and more activities for the whole family!

Southland Mall – November 20th to December 24th

Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm

Christmas Eve 10:00 am to 2:00 pm

 

Northgate Mall – November 21st to December 23rd

Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and 3:30 to 8:00 pm

Saturday 10:00 am to 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm

Cornwall Centre – November 25 to December 23

Monday to Friday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

City Of Regina – Light the Lights – TBA

Bring the family down to the city hall courtyard for all kinds of holiday activities including hay rides, ice sculpting and a special visit from Santa

Regina German Club – An Evening with Santa – November 30

November 30th 5:30 – 9:00 pm

Come join us and meet the man in the big red suit! He’ll also be handing out a gift to each child who comes to visit him! In addition to meeting Santa, we’ll have some fun crafts, cookies to decorate, and an official mailbox so that Santa can take your letters with him to the North Pole!

Tickets are $5 per person in advance or at the door. That includes a gift from Santa and there will be hot chocolate, popcorn, and other snacks for purchase as well.

Government House – Old-Fashioned Victorian Christmas – December 8 & 10

Join us in 2016 for 2 nights of festivities, Thursday December 8th and Saturday December 10th at 6:30 – 8:30.

An evening of free family fun, this event features Victorian-style festivities such as Christmas carolling, cookie decorating, horse-drawn wagon rides through the Edwardian Gardens and a special visitor from the North Pole.  The Amédée Forget Museum is also open to visitors.  An evening for the young and old alike, this event invites all to celebrate the holiday.

There are no tickets to purchase or reservations to make, simply show up! This event is free but we encourage visitors to bring a non-perishable food donation for Regina’s Food Bank.

RCMP – A Heritage Christmas – December 12 & 13

December 12 & 13 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

Come and take a selfie with Santa, take in a magic show, see a Disney short and lots more! Visit the website to get all the details!
