Guys I can’t believe it but it’s true – the holiday season is just around the corner again. How did it sneak up on us like that? I actually feel a little behind this year and haven’t picked up one single gift yet! Luckily I don’t have a lot of people to buy for and I do have a list, and that is half the battle. But there is one area I am ahead of the game – the Advent calendar. If your kid is anything like mine this tradition is one they love. Opening a door each day of the Advent to reveal a little candy or prize is something I remember looking forward to each day when I was a little one. Back in my day the only kind of Advent calendar you could buy was those cheap ones with waxy chocolate in them. Luckily we’ve come a long way since then and have some more options. No need for subpar little pieces of chocolate. In fact there is no need for candy Advent calendars at all if that’s not your thing.
Playmobil Advent Calendars
I am really excited about these calendars, and so is my six year old. Not only are these Advent calendars candy free but they also aren’t just full of junk that you’ll sneak into the trash bin when the kids aren’t looking. Playmobil’s Advent Calendars will leave you surprised each day leading up to Christmas, as you open a new gift. Whether your child loves hockey or prefers to play dress-up, these unique calendars are sure to peak each child’s interests. The calendars include 24 surprise items for each day leading up to Christmas, depending on the calendar’s particular theme. Once all the pieces are revealed, set up your figures and continue the endless fun with your new playset!
Molly and I decided to give the Christmas on the Farm Advent Calendar a sneak peak.
Each of the calendars comes with a little background to make your scene come alive as you add figures to it each day.
The figures are exactly the kind of quality you expect and love from Playmobil. They are sturdy and colourful.
By the time you open your 24th door you have yourself a complete playset to enjoy. Since we opened this Christmas farm scene already, and it’s so cute we’ve decided it will make a really cool and interactive holiday decoration that we can appreciate throughout the season.
And once Advent officially begins we have the Dress up Party calendar ready to go. My little fashionista is so excited about that!
With six calendars to choose from, including one specifically made for the younger ones age 18 months and up (the rest are age 4 and up) there is sure to be a Playmobil Advent Calendar for every child on your list.
You can find the Playmobil Advent Calendars at most major and independent toy retailers.
