Getting Ready For Wedding Season With A Little Help From #ChurchandDwight

It’s almost summer time. Time for camping and fishing and building sand castles on the beach. And, of course, time for weddings! We actually have a big one in our family this summer. My mother in law is tying the knot in August! We have so many things to do before the big day I’m not sure how we are going to get it all done. But we will. We might be worn out by the time the wedding arrives but we will make sure it’s perfect. It’s just what we do in our family.

There are cakes to bake, wedding favours to make, speeches to write, songs to rehearse and my little flower girl needs to practice her petal tossing. I’m not sure why I had it my head this was going to be a small wedding. I think at some point that WAS the plan but some where, some how that idea of a quaint little wedding morphed into a much bigger affair. Because that’s also how our family rolls – we don’t do anything small. We all know that weddings, especially planning one, can be stressful. There are so many details to work out. And of course any time you are trying to work with a bunch of family members things can get, umm, delicate. So what can you do to keep the stress levels down, pull off the perfect wedding and not be a complete wreck when it’s all done?

If you have friends and family around ask for their help (remember that’s why you have a bridal party too). Chances are they really want to pitch in and help make your day extra special so let them.

Make Lists

Lists are your best friend when it comes to planning a special event like a wedding. Write every single thing down. I remember at our wedding I completely forgot to bring our liquor licence to the venue. Because I forgot to put in on the list. Thankfully I had a wonderful friend who drove back to town, searched my house for it and got it back to the venue before anyone even noticed the delay.

Take Time For You

You want to look your best on your big day. Or even if it’s not your big day but maybe you are in the wedding party or otherwise involved. It’s summer so chances are unless you are in full length gown you are going to have a little leg showing. You could make a salon appointment but we all know how full up they are during the busy wedding season and you have better things to spend your money on right now. So try an at home wax. It’s easy with  NairTM WAX READY-STRIPS. Seriously they are so easy. Just peel and place and you get smooth sexy legs for up to four weeks.

Get Lots Of Rest

I know it’s easy to run yourself ragged getting ready for a wedding. So much to do . So easy to work away into the wee hours. But sleep is so important. The last thing you want is get run down and catch whatever bug is flying around looking for the perfect worn out body to inhabit.

Get Your Smile Ready

Another things that goes hand in hand with weddings, of course, is pictures! Get a jump on that perfect picture smile by using Arm & HammerTM Truly RadiantTM Clean & Fresh toothpaste. It’s clinically proven to whiten your teeth in five days. No extra, expensive trips to the dentist. No trays or strips necessary. Just make it part of your regular brushing routine.

Plan Early

There are so many details that go into planning a wedding and if you are planning a summer wedding it’s important to remember that everything – the best venues, DJs, caterers and photographers get snatched up early so you need to be on the ball and get things booked early!

Savour It

My wedding was amazing. But the actual day went by so fast! It was like a whirlwind. But I did my best to enjoy every single moment of it. Don’t let the little things get to you (because drama has away of showing up at even the happiest of events) and remember this is a special, happy occasion. Soak it all up.

Whether you are the one walking down the aisle, you are part of the couple’s bridal party or a guest invited to share this special day, here’s to a beautiful and flawless wedding season! With a little help from Church & Dwight.
