Clean Water On the Go With Brita Review & Giveaway (CAN 06/01)

Clean Water On the Go With Brita Review & Giveaway (CAN 06/01)

We all know how important drinking water is. We hear it all the time. But many of us aren’t that great at getting our daily dose of water down are we? With summer just around the corner staying hydrated is more important than ever. I know that my family spends a lot of time outdoors during the summer and we’ve gotten pretty good at making sure we take our water bottles with us when we head out. But what do you do when your bottle runs dry? Find a store to buy a plastic bottle of water? Not the best option since it costs money and isn’t great for the environment. The next best option is to find a water fountain or other source of drinkable water. There’s nothing wrong with that although sometimes the taste can turn people off. I’m thrilled to have discovered a bottle that tackles this problem in a couple of ways.

Introducing the new BRITA® Hard Sided Filtered Bottle in a 1L size. I absolutely love the size of this bottle. It’s big enough to hold enough water to keep me hydrated for quite a while but not so big that it’s cumbersome to tote around. I’ve been using this bottle while working out in my yard and it’s been perfect. I also love this size because I know once I’ve drank one bottle full of water that I’ve taken in more than half of my daily water needs. I also like to take this bottle to the office since we don’t have a water cooler which means I have to refill my water bottle under the tap. Our water isn’t horrible here but it certainly has a certain taste that I’m happier when I can avoid it. And the carbon filter in this Brita bottle easily takes care of that problem.

The filtration system is really simple but also very effective. As you can see in the picture above, getting to the filter is very easy and the water passes through the carbon filter as you suck it up through the straw.

When not in use the straw snaps down to stay clean and it’s totally leak proof. The BRITA® Hard Sided 1L Bottle comes in two patterns. The Lines pattern pictured above and this cool Chevron pattern:

In the summer my family likes to camp a lot. And when we are camping we spend a lot of time at the beach, cycling and just exploring. Sometimes it’s nice to have a bottle that’s a little smaller but still big enough to keep your thirst quenched.

Besides the 1L bottle, Brita makes filtered bottle in a 750 mL hard sided bottle and a 590 mL sport bottle. The orange one in this picture  (it also comes in blue) is the 590 mL size. This one fits perfectly in our bike bottle holders and is easy to carry when we are off exploring. And again, since it has a built in filter we can fill it on the go and know we will have clean, taste free water when we are out and about. The 750 mL and 590 mL bottles are dishwasher safe which is a nice bonus as well. The filters last 2 months and are really easy to change.

The 750 mL hard sided bottle is very similar to the 1L bottle but, obviously, a little smaller.

No matter what your needs are Brita has you covered this summer with their full line up of filtered bottles. These bottles, as well as the replacement filters are really easy to find in store and online. You can find the whole list of retailers here.
