Caramel Pretzel Peanut Butter Snack Bites

Peanut butter is a staple in our house. We love it in sandwiches, on crackers, or sometimes just straight out of the jar. It’s so delicious and is a quick way to fill that between meal void too! Of course we also love baking with peanut butter. Peanut butter cookies, throw a scoop into your favourite banana bread recipe – there are so many options. But the great thing about baking with peanut butter is sometimes you don’t have to bake at all. And when you have a little chef in the house it’s really nice being able to prepare dishes that they can get involved preparing from start to finish.We have a few recipes for no bake peanut butter snacks and treats and we now have a new favourite to add to that line up.

If your family loves peanut butter you really need to try making Peanut Butter Snack Bites. They are so easy to make, with just a few basic ingredients and the best part, it’s really easy to customize the recipe and add some of your favourite ingredients!

Caramel Pretzel Peanut Butter Snack Bites

Makes about 20 balls


  • 1/2 cup of Kraft Crunchy Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup of honey
  • 1 cup of large flaked rolled oats
  • 15 caramels
  • 1 tablespoon of milk (almond or soy milk works fine too)
  • 3/4 cup of pretzel pieces (broken up pretzel sticks)


Break pretzel sticks into small pieces (4 or 5 pieces per stick).

Unwrap the caramels and place in a small microwave safe bowl.

Add the milk, place in the microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir well. If the caramels are not completely melted put the bowl back in the microwave and heat in 15 second intervals until smooth and creamy.

Stir in the pretzel pieces.

Working quickly (before the caramel hardens too much) spread the pretzel mixture onto a silicon baking sheet or a piece of wax paper.

Let this set while you do the next step.

Place the peanut butter, honey and oats in a medium sized bowl. Mix together until well combined. Break your pretzel caramel mixture into small pieces and add to the peanut butter mixture. Stir well.

Roll into 20 (1-inch) balls, using about 2 Tbsp. for each. Chill for 20-30 minutes.

Suggested serving size is 2 to 3 of the bites represented in the above photo.

Not only did Molly have a blast helping me make these chewy, tasty bites, but she loved eating them too! They make the perfect bite size snack for kids and grown ups of all ages. The slightly salty and sweet flavour along with the crunchy peanut butter and pretzels and caramel chew made these an instant hit.
