Photography is one of my passions. It’s a creative outlet that I have always loved and I am constantly working on improving my skills and expanding my portfolio. I was taking pictures long before I became a mom but if you were to browse through my photo files now you would see a distinct shift in my photography focus.  With a little one in the house there are just so many moments, big and small, that we want to capture.  From those first moments at home, to baby’s first steps and every little moment in between those are events that we want to keep forever and, of course, they are moments what we want to share with friends and family too.

Back when I bought my first DSLR they were pretty pricey. That was a big investment that I saved for quite some time to purchase. Luckily times have changed and these days DSLR cameras are much more affordable. There are some good point and shoot cameras in the market now but you just can’t match the quality of a true SLR camera. So, you’ve got yourself a baby and you’ve got yourself a good camera.  Now what? Even as an experienced photographer I didn’t always know all the tricks to taking baby photos because that had never really been my speciality. That’s when it’s nice to have resources to turn to.
