Yes it’s natural
I was blessed/cursed with naturally curly hair. I don’t just have naturally curly hair, I’m also a natural red head. So, I get asked, a lot, if it’s natural – the curl and the color. Yes it’s all me! As anyone with curly hair can tell you – it’s a lot of work! I diffuse. I straighten. I even curl it! Sure it would be easier, and healthier, to just wear it curly all the time, and I do leave it natural a lot, but a girl needs to change things up sometimes. I might want a nice sleek look one day, or big bouncy curls another day.
It takes a lot of heat if I want to fight that natural curl. And all that heat and styling leaves my thick, coarse hair dried out and damaged. And curly, dried out hair is the worst. I am always looking for the next great product to help me combat the damage I inflict with all that heat.
Fructis Damage Eraser
One of the newest products I have tried to fight back against heat and styling damage is Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser.
Want to bring back strength, vitality and shine to damaged hair? Reconstruct hair’s strength by 90%, for strong hair that looks rejuvenated.
The Fructis Damage Eraser line has four products designed to help give your hair a fighting chance to look and feel healthy despite the abuse you might put it through.
- Fortifying Shampoo
- Fortifying Conditioner
- Strength Reconstructing Butter
- Split Ends Bandage
So far I have tried the shampoo, conditioner and the butter. So what did I think? Well let’s start with the first thing we all notice when we try a new hair product – the smell. The Fructis Damage Eraser line has a really pleasant, light, fruity fragrance. It’s not over powering, which is important for someone like me who has sensitivities to products that are heavily scented.
The shampoo and conditioner were exactly what I would expect from a line formulated specifically for dry/damaged hair. In particular the conditioner is nice and thick so I don’t have to use half the bottle to condition all of my hair. A little bit really does go a long way. The reconstructing butter is nice and thick too (thicker than the conditioner) but it rinses off very well which is an absolute must when you are dealing with curly hair. Often times I try products that are meant for dry hair but aren’t very curly hair friendly. They don’t all rinse off well and that leaves my curls flat and lifeless. And curly hair people also know that curls, even at their best, don’t shine the way straight hair does so any kind of product residue is a problem.
So the verdict – how does Fructis Damage Eraser work on this curly hair that is abused by straighteners, blow dryers, curling irons and hot rollers? In a nutshell, very well. My hair really feels good. And it looks good too. It’s shinier, I’ve noticed less breakage and, a huge bonus, when I go with my natural curl it is not weighed down and flat. I love that I don’t need to use a separate shampoo and conditioner on the days I want to go natural.
But you don’t need to take my word for it. You can visit the Garnier website, learn more about this new line and take advantage of some great savings with some valuable coupons. Your hair will thank you for it!
I’d love to hear what you think of the new Fructis Damage Eraser products. Once you’ve tried it (or maybe you have already) come on back and let me know what you think! Or tweet a picture of your new healthy hair with #DamageEraser!
