Safety 1st Baby Gates – Do Not Meet Standards

This recall involves the following wooden gates:

Health Canada advises that the wooden slats on these gates may come detached. About 13,000 of these gates have been sold across Canada at various retailers including:  Costco, Sears and Walmart. The effect gates were sold between June 2012 and April 2013.


Consumers are advised to immediately stop using these gates and contact the manufacturer, Dorel, for a replacement. The contact number is 1-800-295-1980.

Fill Your Own Panda Play Stainless Steel Food Containers – Lead Hazard

These containers come in two sizes – 250 ml (8oz) and 500 ml (16oz). The are blue with cartoon pandas on them. Approximately 1000 of these have been sold at various retailers from July 2010 to April 2013.

Consumers should stop using this product immediately.

iCandy Cherry Model Strollers – Strangulation Hazard

This recall involves strollers in the following models and colors:

The opening between the bumper bar and the seat bottom of the stroller can allow an infant’s body to pass through and become entrapped at the neck, posing a strangulation hazard to young children when a child is not harnessed.

Approximately 24 of these strollers were sold in Canada between August 2009 and December 2012.

Consumers should immediately remove the bumper bar from the stroller and contact the manufacturer to receive a free replacement bar.

This recall involves UPC 0 74917 00037 8  in the 250 gram size.
